We are pleased to report that, thanks in significant part to excellent work by GFC’s Sacramento team and more than 10,000 personalized letters of opposition from members of the GFC Network to 47 lawmakers, AB 1400 will not be brought up for a vote in the State Assembly. AB 1400 sought to establish a health care system governed by providers, as we explain here.
You can expect this be an annual battle requiring continuing education of lawmakers about multi-payer and single-payer universal coverage systems and persistent opposition to special interests who want $400 billion per year of health care spending to be governed by their allies. Let us know of any questions or comments.
